Below is a quick guide to the types of problems you may face while driving. Our labour prices are fixed at £30 per hour no matter what problem is faced. We are happy to advise you and always willing to show you the best plan of action to getting your car back to 100%.

MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
Have you noticed a knocking or banging, scraping or squeeling noise? These are mechanical problems. They can range from bearings and bushes to brakes and suspension.

ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS
Yellow or red warning lights on your dashboard indicate electical problems. These can be caused by failed/old sensors, damaged wiring and even mice in the car!

ENGINE REPAIRS
Sometimes our cars engines need repairs. Some typical problems can be head gasket failure caused by overheating or corrosion. A snapped cambelt can also cause major damage within the heart of your engine meaning all of the valves could be bent or in some cases a new engine might be needed!

CLUTCH REPAIRS
Usually, clutches tend to last the life of the car, however they can fail at high mileage due to wear and tear. The clutch change itself is easy, its the shear amount of parts that have to be removed to replace the clutch that takes time and cause the bills to rise. The average is 4-6 hours. if you notice your engine revs rising but your road speed staying the same this usually denote clutch slip - a sign of failure.

BRAKE REPAIRS
Brake pads wear out over time, if worn pads are left too long it'll ruin the discs too, so be sure to have your brakes regularly checked to avoid future cost. Typically there are 4 pads on the front axle of your car and 4 on the rear (sometimes called shoes). There 2 discs on the front and 2 on the rear (sometimes called drums). Brakes are important, make them a priority!
